2012 Summer Art Camps At The Longview Recreation Center
Registration continues for the remaining 2012 Summer Art Camps at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. You may also receive department information by “liking” us on Facebook. The Longview Recreation Center is a public facility, here to benefit the community. Anyone, including out-of-county residents, can register for and participate in classes and events held at Longview, even if you don’t have a facility pass! 
MISS DEB’Z SUMMER ART CAMPS
Come have creative fun with Miss Deb! Each camp will offer a different theme and a variety of art experiences with an assortment of mediums. These camps are for Ages 3 to 9. Children MUST be Potty Trained. Classes are from 9:00am to 11:00am each day. Remaining camps include: Jurassic Art – July 23 and 25, Princess Time – July 24 and 26 (11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; Each 2 day program is $24 with a $12 supply fee and Camp Sticky Fingers – July 30 to August 1; the class fee is $36, and the supply fee is $18. CAMP ABRAKADOODLE
Camp Abrakadoodle inspires kids to reach beyond and create art that is unique to them. By doing so, kids feel empowered to be creative and expressive. Abrakadoodle Camps are 4 days, from 9:30am to 12:00pm. Each camp fee is $89, and the supply fee is $29.
SUMMER SURFING - Ages 6 to 11 – July 10 to July 13
WORK OF ART SUMMER ART CAMP
In just 5 days we will create 6 pieces of art using different mediums, while thinking outside the box. On the last day we will have an Art Show for the parents! This camp will meet July 16 —20. The class fee is $20, and the supply fee is $20 (bring a white t-shirt, any shape, to class)
Ages 3-6 will meet from 8:30am-10:00 am. Ages 7-10 will meet from 10:15am-11:45am. Ages 11 and older will meet from 12:00pm-1:30pm. Please register by calling (615)302-0971, ext. 10.
ENJOY CAKE DECORATING SUMMER CAMPS
Whether you have a sweet tooth or you just love to make fun treats, these camps are for you! Essential Skills Camp for ages 10 and older will meet July 16, 18 and 20 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with a class fee of $75, and a supply fee of $35. Rolled Fondant Camp for ages 10 and up will meet July 23, 25 and 27 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with a class fee of $75, and a supply fee of $45. Register by calling (615)302-0971, ext. 10.
CHILDREN’S POTTERY SUMMER CAMPS
Make your own clay pieces of art, paint them, then Instructor June Lusty will fire them in a kiln! (Pick up date for completed projects is August 9th). Camp will be held July 30—August 2 with ages 5-8 meeting from 12:00pm to 1:30pm and ages Ages 9 and up meeting from 2:00pm to 3:30pm. The class fee is $40, and the supply fee is $25. CHILDREN’S LEATHER WORK SUMMER CAMP
During this camp, children will make their own billfold, belt, key ring and more!
Kids ages 9-12 will meet July 30—August 2 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. The class fee $40 and the supply fee is $30. Register by calling (615)302-0971, ext. 10.
