Garrett’s Run for Duchenne
Garrett is a handsome and funny 6 year old boy who loves dinosaurs, Legos, movies and his family.
He is the older brother to 4 year old Charlotte, who is his best friend and accomplice. He is the son of Randy and Amber Sapp, who love him dearly.
Two years ago Garrett was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a rare and fatal neuromuscular disorder with no cure.
We daily struggle to explain to Garrett about Duchenne and its effects on his little body; we silently grieve for what is to come. However, we choose to say “Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.”
We have teamed up with Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD), the largest non-profit organization devoted solely to ending Duchenne, to raise money for research to one day find a cure.
October 6th there will be a cross country 5K run, Garrett’s Run for Duchenne at the Maury County Park. See poster details below.
Will you join us in our fight to end Duchenne and signup to run?
