Lindsay Martin’s graders are reading a lot of fall poems to get in the fall spirit, and working on our writing with stories about scarecrows.  In Math, we have been counting, adding, and subtracting.  We have been learning a lot about national and state symbols and landmarks.

Lisa McCullough’s Second Grade just enjoyed releasing our butterflies last week and are enjoying working as small groups as they work on animal projects and will begin creating a report.

Debbie Looper’s fourth graders are learning how to analyze the plot of non-fiction articles about explorers. They are also using plot diagrams to write their own stories.

Al Amore’s third graders went on an exciting field trip to the Belle Meade Plantation.  They had a chance to experience pioneer life. They dipped candles, strung green beans, and even went on a scavenger hunt to practice our map skills.
