The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce a variety of programs for senior adults in December at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. Senior programs are offered to individuals age 55 and older. Some programs require pre-registration, pre-payment and space may be limited. Anyone, including out-of-county residents, can register for and participate in classes and events held at Longview, even if you don’t have a facility pass!
Is the pain of everyday living getting you down? Then get up and join our class! Aquamotion provides an opportunity for people with arthritis and post rehab conditions improve flexibility, coordination, and muscle strength. No registration required! Please pay the front desk before the class! Aquamotion is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 1-2 p.m. in the indoor pool at the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Drive. SENIOR POTLUCK AND BINGO
The Senior Potluck and Bingo luncheon is from 12-2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4 at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. Please bring a new, $5-8 gift wrapped labeled for our “Dirty Santa” game. After lunch, have fun playing Bingo for prizes! This is a FREE activity, and Williamson County Parks and Recreation will provide the meat and drinks. Participants are asked to bring a side dish and/or dessert to share. We need your help! Seniors ages 55 and up are needed on a volunteer basis to help us fold, bind, and label the Happenings and Recreation Review newsletters. Registration is not necessary for this program. Labelers will meet Tuesday, December 4 at 9 a.m. at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill.
