The Maury Christmas Historic Home Tour has added a new attraction this year called “Art Under the Mistletoe” which features 20 local and regional artists exhibiting their artwork in the building on the corner of West 7th and Garden Streets that once housed Gordon’s dress shop.
The art show is scheduled for December 1, 2012, from 9am to 5pm. Admission is free and a portion of the sales from this show will go to the Maury County APTA which maintains the Athenaeum Rectory.
Additionally, Pet Pals of Maury County will be displaying “Wreaths of Rescue” in the same location. Area businesses have decorated Christmas wreaths and have donated them for sale at this event. Proceeds from the sale of Christmas wreaths will benefit Pet Pals.
Artwork available for sale will include paintings, furniture, photography, jewelry, carved and turned wood items, quilts, and miniatures.
