Pet Pals of Maury County, TN is holding its first-ever “Wreaths For Rescues” fund-raiser, a one-day-only sale of Christmas wreaths on Saturday, Dec. 1. In addition to the wreaths, Pet Pals will also sell coffee, cider, hot chocolate and baked goodies.
All monies raised at this event will benefit the pets of low income residents through spay/neuter clinics, which lower the overpopulation of unwanted pets in our community.
The wreaths will be sold at “Arts Under the Mistletoe,” a part of Maury County’s APTA Christmas tour, which has partnered with Franklin’s holiday tour to mark the “Prelude to the Battle of Franklin.
” The one-day gift shop, located at the old Gordon’s storefront on the corner of W. 7th and Garden Streets, will be open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
From celebrations of the Eifel Tower, to circles of snowmen, to nativity scenes, the choices are festive, fun, and sometimes unexpected. Pet Pals also has pet-themed wreaths featuring dog and cat toys and treats.
Maury County businesses and individuals have donated many of the wreaths. Pet Pals is grateful for the generosity of Columbia Carriage House; First Farmers and Merchants Bank; Lily Jane; Doris’ Flowers and Gifts; The Castle; A Balloon Shop; Harvest Wealth Management; Gateway Tire; Envy Hair Salon; Helm’s Jewelry; Square Market & Café; Pie Sensation; A Petal For Your Thoughts; Wall Candy; Linda Hayes, local songstress; Susan E. Jones, artist; Niki’s Funky Beads; and many generous volunteers.
