Dr. Maura Lipp Named Physician Of The Year At Maury Regional Medical Center

Maura J. Lipp, M.D., a specialist in internal medicine and pulmonary disease, was named Physician of the Year at the annual meeting of the Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) medical staff. The award is presented annually to the physician who best represents his or her profession and the mission, vision and values of the medical center and is based on nominations from employees and members of the medical staff.

“The employees and physicians who voted for Dr. Lipp consistently mentioned her compassion for patients and families, her passion for her job and her collegiality with the nursing staff. Maury Regional is thankful for Dr. Lipp’s dedication to her profession,” said Chief Medical Officer Christopher Edwards, M.D.

Dr. Lipp has been a member of the MRMC medical staff since 2008. She is a member of the cancer, critical care and medicine committees. Dr. Lipp received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Edison, New Jersey. She completed an internal medicine residency and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut. She is board certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine and pulmonary disease and is associated with Family Health Group Pulmonary and Critical Care.
