Learn about the Benefits Of Low Impact Exercise at December Healthy Hearts meeting
The Healthy Hearts Education Group will host a meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, in the William R. Walter Educational Conference Center of the Maury Regional Medical Center Annex. The Annex is located at 1223 ½ Trotwood Avenue, across from McDonald’s.
Maury Regional Physical Therapist Jason Martin will be the guest speaker at this event. Martin will discuss the benefits of exercise and stretching, the pros and cons of high impact versus low impact exercise and exercises that can be done at home with minimal equipment.
The Healthy Hearts Education Group meets quarterly. Meetings scheduled for 2013 will take place on February 28, May 23, August 22 and November 21. Anyone interested in learning more about the self care and management of heart disease is encouraged to attend these free meetings.
