Seniors Learn To Make Pottery At Third Coast Clay
Seniors, age 55 and older, are invited to join the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department on Friday, February 15 for a fun day at The Factory in Franklin. Participants will learn to paint pottery at the popular Third Coast Clay Studio. When you arrive, the staff at Third Coast will have a selection of pottery pieces and paints, ready for you to create! After the class, the group will have lunch at Stovework’s Restaurant inside The Factory. Participants should meet at the Factory (main entrance), 230 Franklin Road, at 9:45 a.m.
The cost of the trip is $18 per person, and includes the pottery piece, and sitting fee. Lunch is Dutch treat. Space is limited, so please register early! Is the pain of everyday living getting you down? Then get up and join our class! Aquamotion provides an opportunity for people with arthritis and post rehab conditions improve flexibility, coordination, and muscle strength. No registration required! Please pay the front desk before the class! Aquamotion is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 1-2 p.m. in the indoor pool at the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Drive. SENIOR GAME DAY
Here’s your chance to let your inner child play! The staff at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill will be opening up the teen game room to Senior Adults, ages 55 and up for open play time! Drop in and shoot pool, challenge a friend to a game of ping pong, get a good card game going or practice the Wii! The Senior Potluck and Bingo luncheon is from 12-2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12 at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. Therapeutic Recreation At The Longview Recreation Center At Spring Hill

The Therapeutics division will have its potluck and Bingo dinner from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19 at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. Participants will enjoy a delicious meal and have fun playing Bingo! Williamson County Parks and Recreation will provide the meat, drinks and Bingo prizes. Participants are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. This PALS (People at Leisure with Support) therapeutic recreation program is for young adults and up. A caregiver is required to stay with those needing support. Caregivers are asked to register as well. Please register through February 15 by calling (615)302-0971, ext. 2210. This is a FREE event. SUPER SATURDAY RESPITE
The Therapeutics Division of the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department invites you to a fun day of games, music, swimming, Wii, crafts and more during the Super Saturday Respite from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 9. Open to Williamson County residents ages 6-23 with special needs only, this program provides a day of fun-filled therapeutic recreation. Participants will need a swimsuit, towel, lunch and drink. Personal care is provided. The cost is $20 per person. Register by calling (615)302-0971, ext. 2210. Phone messages are not accepted. Registration is January 18-February 1or until the program is full. To hold a reservation, payment must be received within 5 days of the initial registration. Payments may be mailed or made in person at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. Refunds are available through the last day of registration.
