The Grants provide additional funding to teachers in the public schools serving students residing in Spring Hill. Teachers often have innovative ideas to implement in their classrooms, but they cannot due to budget constraints and the need for other necessities. The Priority One Classroom Education Grant reaches beyond the necessities and allows teachers to turn classroom dreams into classroom realities.
The Imagination Library Program was started, but not currently funded,by Dolly Parton as a way to foster family reading in the community.
Each enrolled child from birth to five years of age receives an age-appropriate book in the mail each month to encourage early reading and literacy.
