Introduction to Spring Hill Rattlers

Baseball season will begin in early March for most Spring Hill baseball teams, but for the Spring Hill Rattlers, 8 and Under boys travel team, the work began in early January. They have been building their skills to represent Spring Hill in this upcoming 2013 baseball season. Rattlers_1

Competing mainly in middle Tennessee tournaments, the Rattlers will challenge other 8 and under boys travel baseball teams throughout the country. 2013 will be the inaugural season for the Spring Hill Rattlers. The team is mainly composed of boys from Spring Hill, but have players that reside in Columbia, Dixon, and even Bowling Green, KY.

The mission of the Spring Hill Rattlers is to build character, work ethic, and community through the game of baseball, and to win a few games in the process. The leadership team is composed of men that have met and served together in youth sports here in Spring Hill for the past few years. As their core groups of players have become friends, elevated their skills, and learned to trust the coaching staff, taking their skills to the next level became a very natural step. The long term vision includes offering travel baseball options into other age groups.

Next year, the Rattlers hope to have a travel team for 7U, 8U, and 9U. Both Franklin and Columbia have travel baseball options for these age groups and the Rattlers feel Spring Hill is ready and can support 7U, 8U, and 9U teams. The Spring Hill Rattlers are sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings.

The Rattlers are still conducting private workouts to fill one last roster spot. Please contact springhillrattlers@gmail.com to set up a workout. Also, if a local buisness in interested in additional sponsorship, we have advertising space on our team banner, team tent, and helmet stickers.
