Mr. Bailey’s 8th grade science class put the engineering design process into practice by creating various wind-powered vehicles using a specific set of materials and limitations.
By using this process, students were able to see science come to life. In language arts, students are looking forward to celebrating the study of the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird in a 1930s inspired Maycomb County Picnic on Friday, March 22.
Students, teachers, and parents have worked hard to bring the event together from the authentic sample table of foods in the novel to a delectable potluck similar to one frequented by Maycomb residents. Students will come together dressed in character to listen to Monroeville, AL native Mr. Landon Sawyer speak about growing up in the same town as Miss Nell (Harper Lee).
In US history, students are learning about numerous key inventions that influenced Industrialism, Urbanization, and even our young economy during the Industrial Revolution.
