Seniors are invited to an Old Fashioned Tea Party at the Spring Hill Public Library at 2 p.m., Friday, March 22.  Savory teatablessandwiches and sweet desserts will be served with tea by teens from the Betu Nu Chapter or the ESA Honor Society. Tom & Deanie Moore will provide instrumental music.

Julie Hull, a volunteer at the Library, is the advisor. She thinks this type of event benefits both the teens and the seniors. “Many teens don’t have grandparents nearby. It’s a great way for them to learn from them, serve and even thank them. It’s also good for the elderly to see teens that polite and well-spoken, willing to serve.”

To sign up for the tea, call the Library at 931.486-2932.

The Spring Hill Library is located at 144 Kedron Pkwy. and provides a host of free services to the community. For more information about the Spring Hill Public Library, go to www.springhilllibrary.org.
