Wesley Mack Bryant, Michael E. Short, William E. Blackstone and Johnny Clayton have joined the board of the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation. The new members will each serve three-year terms with the Foundation.
Bryant is an attorney born and raised in Columbia. He is a graduate of Central High School, Ole Miss and the University of Tennessee Law School and has been a member of the law firm of Hardin, Parkes, Kelley, Carter & Bryant since 2012. He is married to Shauna Bryant. They have two children, Avery and Nora.
Blackstone is also an attorney, currently affiliated with Holton Blackstone & Mayberry, P.C. He attended Washington & Lee University, Georgetown University and the University of Virginia. He and his wife, Elizabeth Kennedy Blackstone, have three children, Emory, Liza and Jack.
Clayton has served as Hohenwald City Mayor since his election in 2011. He is a graduate of Lewis County High School and Columbia State Community College. Clayton formerly worked as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service before resigning to work in ministry. In 2002, Clayton moved to Hohenwald after accepting a position as administrative assistant with County Mayor Kenneth Turnbow. He is married to Kim Cagle. They have two children, Alex and Beau.
Short is Director of Safety and Environmental Services at Maury Regional Medical Center. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio and Middle Tennessee State University. In addition to the Foundation, Short also serves on several other health care and community boards and is an adjunct faculty member with the National Center for Preparedness and Response — Vanderbilt University. His wife Theresa is a teacher at Whitthorne Middle School. They have three sons, Andrew, Joshua and Christopher.
