Williamson County Parks and Recreation invites kids ages 3 – 7 years old to participate in the sixth annual Mighty Tikes Triathlon at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. The cost is $10 per entry.
Cheer on your favorite pint-sized triathlete as they take on our fun-filled course. Kids will start off peddling their way through the bike course, then transition to the “need for speed” running portion and will conclude their triathlon with a “swim”, or dash through the sprinklers as they head to the finish line to receive their medal. Each participant is required to bring a bike, or tricycle, and helmet for this event. Bikes must be 16 inches or under. Each triathlete will receive an official Mighty Tikes triathlon t-shirt and medal!
Registration begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 22. Space is limited. Reservations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis until full. For more information or to register for the Mighty Tikes Triathlon, call the Longview Recreation Center at (615)302-0971, ext. 2210. No messages please. Sponsors for this event are The Children’s Academy, SportClips, Elite Physical Therapy, Nashville Striders and McDonald’s of Spring Hill.
