As the school year winds down, the Spring Hill Public Library is featuring the art work of students on their walls to celebrate the creative expressions that have been nurtured by local schools this past year.
Art teachers from all the schools in the greater Spring Hill area were invited to pick out something unique tried this year, or work from students that are exceptional, or just vibrant and fun.
Children’s Librarian Marsha Gallardo said, “We see it as an opportunity to honor the work that art teachers do. It’s our way of promoting the importance of cultural literacy.”
The artwork of the Healing Arts Project, Inc. will also be on display. HAPI provides an avenue for persons in mental health and addiction recovery to express their creativity through a wide range of artistic endeavors.
