SpringHillFRESH.com announces the 2013 Spring Hill ‘Pay It Forward’ Community Festival set for Saturday, June 1, 2013, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. This event will be held at the Tennessee Children’s Home (Ham Festival location) in Spring Hill, TN.
Based on the concept of the popular movie “Pay it Forward” which basically revolves around the belief that the ever important principal of giving and acts of selflessly doing good for others is an important characteristic in being a good neighbor and therefore leads to creating great communities.
One reason this festival is so special is, the Spring Hill ‘Pay It Forward’ Community Festival seeks to cultivate building strong community bonds and connecting with our neighbors through an entertaining and creative venue and:
- Embrace the value of doing good for our neighbors
- To support local charities that support us
- To make meaningful connections with other members in our community
“Last year the festival drew 3000 plus in attendance and this year we are expecting an even bigger crowd to enjoy our ‘Old Fashion Americana Family Fun’ theme! We will have many fun activities such as sack races, apple bobbing, croquet, horseshoe, cornhole, relay races, hay rides, community square & line dancing, two stages with live entertainment, pizza pie eating contest, Nashville Food trucks and so much more!” says Hazel Nieves, owner of Spring Hill FRESH the festival organizer.
Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the 2013 Honorary Festival Sponsor, along with the many other businesses, community organizations, sports league, churches, and individual sponsors and donors are pitching in to ensure this a hugely successful event. Proceeds from this non-profit charity fundraising venue will benefit the Tennessee Children’s Home, the Well Outreach Food Pantry, Soles4Souls, and Gabe’s Chemo Duck.
The public is invited to this unique family fun charity fundraiser. Admission to the festival is $5.00 (pay it forward) donation per carload plus any gently worn shoes or 3 non-perishable food items.
