City of Spring Hill Declares Pay It Forward Community Festival Day!

City of Spring Hill, Board of Mayor and City Aldermen passed a resolution on May 20, 2013 to officially declare and recognize June 1, 2013 as the Spring Hill ‘Pay It Forward’ Festival Day. shpiffLogo copy2

The festival is in its 6th year and has grown to be a popular community venue. The Spring Hill Pay It Forward Community Festival Day will be held this Saturday, June 1, 2013, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Tennessee Children’s Home (Ham Festival location) in Spring Hill, TN.

The resolution recognizes the festival provides direct and significant economic impact to the city and the city lends its support to the success of the festival. In addition, the resolution encourages the community also support the venue to ensure its continued growth as an annual event.

“This was such a nice Pay It Forward from our BOMA to get behind our efforts for the Pay It Forward Community Festival which is all about connecting our community with one another and fundraising for our charities through a very family fun entertainment venue.” says Hazel Nieves, owner of Spring Hill FRESH who is the festival organizer.

The public is invited to this unique ‘Old Fashion Americana Family Fun’ fundraiser with activities such as sack races, apple bobbing, croquet, horseshoe, cornhole, relay races, hay rides, community square dancing, live music, Nashville Food trucks and more.  Admission to the festival is only $5.00 donation per carload plus any gently worn shoes or 3 non-perishable food items.
