Therapeutic Recreation At Longview Recreation Center At Spring Hill

Williamson County Parks and Recreation DepartmentThe Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the following Therapeutic programs in July at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. Therapeutic programs are led by Therapeutic Recreation Specialists who assist people with disabilities to develop leisure and social skills for participation in community activities. Some programs require pre-registration and space may be limited. You may also receive department information by “liking” us on Facebook. The Longview Recreation Center is a public facility, here to benefit the community. Anyone, including out-of-county residents, can register for and participate in classes and events held at Longview, even if you don’t have a facility pass!

POTLUCK AND BINGO

Now on a new night! The Therapeutics division will have its potluck and Bingo dinner from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31 at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. Participants will enjoy a delicious meal and have fun playing Bingo! Williamson County Parks and Recreation will provide the meat, drinks and Bingo prizes. Participants are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. This PALS (People at Leisure with Support) therapeutic recreation program is for young adults and up. A caregiver is required to stay with those needing support. Caregivers are asked to register as well. Please register through July 26 by calling (615)302-0971, ext. 2210. This is a FREE event. Bingo and prizes are for participants only.
