Ongoing Health & Wellness Programs At Longview Recreation Center Spring Hill

WaterAerobicsThe Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of health and wellness programs for teens and adults at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. The Longview Recreation Center is a public facility, here to benefit the community. Anyone, including out-of-county residents, can register for and participate in classes and events held at Longview, even if you don’t have a facility pass!

ONGOING GROUP FITNESS

Changes have been made recently to the group fitness schedule at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. Classes include Chisel and Sculpt, Plyo Fusion, Zumba, Cardio Explosion, Nuclear Fusion, Yoga, Pilates, Boot Camp, Fit Camp, PILOXING, Hip Hop, B.U.R.S.T. Club, U-Jam and Body Knockout. Get the workout you want in one of these challenging classes! All group fitness classes are open to the public with a walk-in rate of $6 per class. The walk in fee for teens, ages 13-17 is $4 per class. Discount group fitness monthly passes are also available. No registration required.

Indoor Cycling classes are available daily and are open to the public at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. The walk-in rate is $8 per class. WATER AEROBICS CLASSES

Water aerobics classes are offered daily (except Sunday), in the spacious indoor pool at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill.

Classes are open to teens and adults ages 13+, (ages 13-17 must have a parent sign a waiver). Class fees are: Adults, 8 visits for $24, walk-ins are $3 per person, per class. Class fees for seniors (55 and older) are 8 visits for $16 and walk-ins are $2 per senior, per class. No registration required. Rusty Hinges is a low impact workout that incorporates cardio, muscle toning, strengthening and balance work, and meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Aqua Shape-Up combines low-impact/no-impact workouts that strengthen and tone your body using the resistance of the water.  This intermediate class will challenge your movements and get your heart going without the impact of land workouts.  This class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-11a.m.

Aqua Power Hour is a high intensity class with power, strength and cardio exercises. You will learn sports oriented water aerobics workouts using deep and shallow water as a powerful gym!  Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Early Energizers This class consists of deep and shallow water, high impact workouts.  Expect to raise your heart rate and kick off the day energized! This class meets every Saturday from 8:15-9:15 a.m.

Aquamotion class provides an opportunity for people with arthritis and post rehab conditions to improve flexibility, coordination, and muscle strength, and will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-2 p.m.

YOUTH CONDITIONING

In this program, participants ages 6-18 years old will learn to develop and maintain speed agility and quickness. This can be done through the use of speed drills, proper form and mechanics, ladders, cones and even bands. Sharpen skills or gain competitive edge. Clinics will be held on Saturdays, ongoing in 45 minute increments from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. The cost is $10 per class.
