CHAPEL HILL
Chapel Hill is located in Marshall County and borders both Williamson and Maury County.
The town got its name in the early eighteen hundreds by John Laws, an early settler who moved from Chapel Hill, North Carolina and named the community after his hometown.
Chapel Hill was charted in 1889. It is also the boyhood home of General Nathan Bedford Forrest, who served in the Confederate Army.
