Just Be Generous

GENEROSITY…a disposition to give liberally or to bestow favors heartily.

That is exactly what happens here in the Spring Hill – Thompson’s Station area when it comes to helping our neighbors out, especially during the holiday season.

Hopefully you are NOT one whom statistics quote as losing your job to jobs abroad or downsized and let go like a trading card or just getting your degree to find there are only minimum wage jobs out there or facing medical bills that are not covered or had to close the door of your business you putting everything into like I did or a number of other issues that you read about almost daily in this very upsetting times. From record producer to administrative clerk to CEO to plant engineer to District manager to stocker…anyone can find themselves in this predicament.

We at Spring Hill FRESH know many, many people and local businesses here have been directly affected by our current economic conditions. As reported in August of this year 45.8 million Americans rely on food stamps! That’s about 1 in every 6 people! This is record numbers folks. It may not be popular to address the real status of what has occurred with the position many Americans are finding themselves in, however, we believe addressing the reality of the situation right here in our own communities is how needs get resolved.

The holidays are upon us for 2011 and they as you know, really help put the spotlight on the power of love and giving. We are certain if we all make a conscious effort to be mindful of the needs of those around us right here in our backyard…we can be a blessing and help our neighbor get past this time gracefully.

Let this be our uniting phrase for our community… ‘JUST BE GENEROUS‘  and we will be successful in our deeds and efforts to HANO-Help a Neighbor Out!

To help facilitate this effort, Spring Hill FRESH is listing, promoting and reporting on all LOCAL opportunities available to GIVE, SERVE, SHARE, SPONSOR and BLESS others this Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday Season.
