Public casting call for “Rover” book on Sunday, March 19th
Williamson County Animal Center is pleased to announce participation in the RoverWorks Casting Call at The Grove, on Sunday, March 19. Renowned dog photographer and author of the “Rover” books, Andrew Grant, will be making his first appearance in Middle Tennessee to photograph dogs for his next edition of Rover, a 500-page coffee table book that features photographs of dogs from across the country.ξ Through the Rover project, Grant raises money for shelters and helps build awareness for homeless dogs.
During Sunday’s casting call, three lucky dogs from the Middle Tennessee area will be chosen for a free appearance in Rover.ξ The public is invited to come and introduce their four-legged friend to Grant, share a compelling story, show off a trick or two or just let their pet’s unique doggie personality shine!ξ Grant will select three dogs to appear in Rover, a $5,000 value, for free! If your dog is not selected, you can still secure a spot in the book by making a $5,000 donation to Williamson County Animal Center or Agape Pet Rescue during the event.
Pets appearing in the book will need to be available for their photo sessions on Monday, March 20 or Tuesday, March 21.
During the casting call event, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., guests and their dogs can enjoy free entertainment, a selection of local vendors, enter a doggie fashion show, meet dog artists, groomers, veterinarians and more. Admission is free, and there will be plenty of goodies for sale from local food trucks. For those interested in giving a dog a forever home, there will be adoptable dogs on hand from Williamson County Animal Center and Agape Animal Rescue.
