48th Annual Meriwether Lewis Arts and Crafts Fair
Each year for the past 48 years the Maury County Arts Guild has produced the Meriwether Lewis Arts and Crafts Fair with support from the Tennessee Arts Commission. For the last 4 years, the City of Columbia has sponsored and supported the fair’s move to the Riverwalk Park just north of downtown Columbia.
The purpose of the show is to provide local and regional artists with an opportunity to exhibit and sell quality handicrafts and to promote the cultural heritage of the region.
At this event, craftsmen and artisans demonstrate, display and sell their handiwork. From pottery to quilts, stained glass to woodworks, leather to oil paintings, and photography to ironworks – you’ll find it here! Many artists take the opportunity to have demonstration areas to show work as it is created.
Live music will be performed throughout the event each day and many delicious foods will be available including Homemade Fudge, Funnel Cakes, White beans and cornbread, Polish sausages, Philly cheese-steak sandwiches, fried pies, chicken, BBQ and lots of ice cold lemonade and iced Tea!
9am to 5pm each day. Admission is free! Parking is free!
