Event Description

Maury County Animal Services has been chosen as one of the Tennessee shelters asked to participate in an urgent #emptytheshelters event this weekend hosted by the BISSELL Pet Foundation and Cathy Bissell and wow we are amazed and humbled.

With the help of the Bissell Pet Foundation we will be waiving adoption fees with the donation of 2 bottles of Fabuloso All Purpose Cleaner.

As to why Bissell is coordinating this event it’s simple. Shelters throughout the country are overcrowded and need your help now!

This emergency situation comes from various obstacles, including slowed adoptions, high seasonal intake of pets, staffing shortages, lack of spay/neuter services and more.

Bissell Pet Foundation founder Cathy Bissell has heard the pleas from many shelters that are so full they are doubling up their pets to continue to save pets in their community (very true at MCAS – we are doubled up and at capacity).

Bissell Pet Foundation is hosting an emergency Empty the Shelters event from March 23 – 30, 2022, to provide relief to five overcrowded shelters in Tennessee including Maury County Animal Services. By adopting you are helping to relieve overcrowded shelters and give cats and dogs the chance they need!

Only you can choose to save a life. Please consider opening your home to a shelter pet today by fostering or adopting. Shelters everywhere need you!! Please SHARE and help spread the word!!
