Healing Our Heroes
September 23 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 8:00 am, repeating until October 5, 2024
It is with a great deal of disappointment that we announce the GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club is canceling the in-person part of the “Healing Our Heroes” event due to circumstances beyond our control.
HOWEVER, we are going to continue to raise funds for Operation Song through our online silent auction!!! You can read about Operation Song, a Nashville-based nonprofit, and how they provide support to struggling vets, by visiting their website: Operation Song (squarespace.com).
We have received some incredible donations, and we can’t wait for everyone to see all the items and bid competitively! Information on just a few of our auction items:
Thinking about a beach vacation next summer with your family? What about a girl’s trip or a personal retreat? We have 3 free nights at a luxury 3-bedroom condo on Okaloosa Island/Ft. Walton Beach when it’s reserved for 4 nights.
Do you enjoy Predators games? We have two tickets donated by Tennessee Tickets to the Predators/Lightning game on September 28 – this is the only item that is “BUY IT NOW” as it takes place before the auction ends.
Are you a whiskey aficionado? We have a used whiskey barrel from Tennessee Distilling, a certificate to attend Whiskey University, and more goodies!
Towhee Club has donated golf for four players, including carts, greens fees, and range balls.
Gary Sinise, the actor, has given us a gorgeous hand-made wooden American flag and other items – all personally autographed!!
And there is so much more!!! Home decor, original art, health & beauty, Nashville Symphony tickets, autographed books, gift baskets, gift cards and certificates, etc.
We are also still accepting donations!!
We are currently adding all the auction items onto the ticketing site. It’ll take a few days because we have so many items to photograph, describe, and post.
The link to the auction/ticketing site is https://GFWC.givesmart.com. You will also have the opportunity to make a monetary donation on the site.
The auction will be live from 8 am September 15 to 5 pm October 5. Winners can pick up their items on Monday, October 7 from 1 pm – 8 pm in the lower level of the Winchester Community Facility, 563 Maury Hill Street, Spring Hill.
Keep checking back as we add auction items and get ready to bid and bid again!! Let’s support our veterans and the good work done by Operation Song.
