OneGenAway Breakfast Fundraiser

Event Description

OneGen is hosting a informational and fundraising breakfast in downtown Columbia at Pucketts Grocery & Restaurant on Tuesday, October 23rd from 7-8am.

Eric Nichols, Pastor of Thompson Station Church Columbia and Dawn Taylor, Director of The Family Center here in Columbia will speak to us about hunger in our community.

All over Middle Tennessee, and here in Columbia, hunger is a daily concern for vulnerable children and families. We believe we can change this fact in our lifetime through the work of One Generation Away.

One Generation Away is solely focused on eliminating hunger by rescuing food from being discarded by local restaurants and grocery stores and distributing that food to where it is needed – through schools and shelters and into homes by hosting over 30 Saturday food distributions in at risk communities.

We believe it is unacceptable in our community of so many resources that a child ever goes to bed or to school without eating, or that a senior ever has to choose between buying food or the medicine that they need. This should be the issue that passionately unites us all – there is no doubt that together we can meet this need and eliminate hunger in our lifetime.

Please join us and feel free to invite others that you believe have a heart for this ministry.

There is no cost for breakfast, just let us know you are coming by using this link to RSVP.
