Event Description

Spring Hill “Fish With A Fire Fighter” Youth Event Saturday, June 1st

The nonprofit Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) is teaming up with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Locals 4628 and 4381 and other supporters to host a free “Fish With A Fire Fighter” community fishing event Saturday, June 1 at the Tennessee Children’s Home Spring Hill Campus, located at 3375 Kedron Road.

Registered youths will receive a free rod and reel courtesy of Pure Fishing and game calls courtesy of Plano Synergy. Volunteers from local unions will provide youngsters with instruction and assistance, and all participants (including members of the press) are encouraged to stay for a picnic-style lunch after fishing.

Organized by the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance and sponsored by IAFF Locals 4628 (Spring Hill) and 4381 (Columbia).

The event is part of a series of free, community-based youth outreach activities organized under Work Boots on the Ground—the USA’s flagship conservation program. It is also supported by national conservation partners Provost Umphrey Law Firm, Pure Fishing, Plano Synergy and the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation.
Open to the public but limited to the first 100 kids. All youths must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
