Event Description

The Spring Hill Orchestra, led by conductor Rebecca Vendemo, will perform two concerts in October.   The first concert will take place on Friday, October 26, 7:30 pm, at the Church at Station Hill, 8083 Station Hill Dr., Spring Hill.  The second concert will take place on Saturday, October 27, 7:30 pm, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 3701 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville.

For these performances, the Spring Hill Orchestra welcomes two soloists.  Joining the orchestra to perform the first movement of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in Bb Minor is Daniel Colalillo, a New York based classical pianist. Performing Charles Griffes’ Poem for Flute and Orchestra will be flute soloist Erin Erdos.

The orchestra will also play “The Moldau” by Bedřik Smetana, as well as selections from Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” Suite.  Dancers from the Children’s Ballet Theatre of Spring Hill will join the orchestra for “Swan Lake.”
