Event Description

The Spring Hill Orchestra, led by conductor Rebecca Vendemo, will perform its Summer Spectacular concerts at venues in both Nashville and Columbia at the end of July.

The Nashville concert will take place on Friday, July 27, 7:30 pm, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 3701 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville.

The Columbia concert will take place on Saturday, July 28, 7:30 pm, at Cherry Theater at Columbia State University, 1665 Hampshire Pike, Columbia.

The program for these concerts includes the
Light Cavalry Overture by Franz von Suppé (1819-1895)
Horn Concerto No. 1 by Richard Strauss (1864-1949)
Beautiful Blue Danube by Johann Strauss (1825-1899)
L’Arlésienne Suite No. 2 by Georges Bizet (1838-1875)
The French horn soloist for the Strauss Horn Concerto will be Melissa Emerson.

There are no tickets for this event, but donations are gratefully accepted at the door.
