Despite the new permit-less carry law going into effect, a  TN handgun carry permit is still a must-have for TN residents for two reasons:

1. You still need a TN permit to carry your pistol in another, reciprocating state, and 2. You must know the law regarding the use of deadly force. This class includes both classroom education in the law, and range training.
