Saturday, December 3rd at 5:00 pm will mark the kick-off of the 9th Annual City of Spring Hill Christmas Parade.
The parade is presented by the Kiwanis Club of Spring Hill and Thompson’s Station and the City of Spring Hill, Parks and Recreation Department.
This year there will some new additions and changes starting with the parade theme which is Hometown Christmas‘ reflecting the joys of celebrating the holiday in our own city.
This event has grown annually with event participants and attendance and is not only a delight for children of all ages, but it’s also a great way for the community to come together and celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season. Local and neighboring communities are encouraged to bring the entire family out and make this a holiday event destination!
This year there will be a float judging station located in front of the Tennessee Children’s Home. The parade emcee is Channel 5 News, Steve Hayslip.
He will be joined by the following esteemed judging panel; State Rep., Sheila Butt, Fox 17 News, Samantha Russell, (aka Traffic Jam Sam’), Summit High School principal, Sarah Lamb, A. Marshall Family Foods, Andy Marshall and John Maher Homes, John Maher.
The community is encouraged to dress warm, bring lawn chairs and blankets to be comfortable as they find their spot along the parade route. This year there will be food vendor’s setup in the area across from the of the Tennessee Children’s Home (see map) for the enjoyment of parade attendees.

Changes to this year’s Christmas Parade Route are as follows:
The parade will begin at 5pm and will travel down Main Street, turn left on Beechcroft Road and will continue down Beechcroft past Evans Park turning on Town Center Parkway returning to the starting place of the parade.
Residents be advised access to Main Street and Beechcroft Road along the parade route will be shut down from approximately 4:00PM until 6:00PM. The attached map shows more detail on parade route, street closure times and parking.
For parade participants:
Lineup will begin at 3:30 PM on Stephen P. Yokich Pkwy between McDonald’s and Kedron Pkwy. Vehicles will not be permitted to park in the lineup area prior to 3:30PM. Vehicles that will be in the parade, please enter the lineup area from Beechcroft Road or Kedron Parkway (see map below).
