Puckett’s Boat House Holds Year-Long Event For Mercy Community Healthcare

A. Marshall Family Foods Inc. raised more than a thousand dollars for Mercy Community Healthcare through an event hosted in its downtown Franklin restaurant in 2015.

Owner Andy Marshall and his team presented a check worth $1,818.00 to the nonprofit’s staff Monday at Puckett’s Boat House at 94 E. Main Street.

Mercy Community Healthcare received proceeds from the Southern seafood eatery’s “Puckett’s Dollar For Your Thoughts,” and ongoing initiative that generated dollars from money pinned to the restaurant’s low ceiling. Over the past year, Puckett’s Boat House provided each table with buckets of tape and markers, and encourage customers to stick dollar bills—”with their own custom messages—”to the building’s structure in the name of the organization, which emphasizes compassionate healthcare.

According to its mission statement, Mercy Community Healthcare (formerly Mercy Children’s Clinic) reflects the love of Jesus Christ by providing quality and compassionate healthcare to both the insured and uninsured in Williamson and surrounding counties. Mercy’s Health and Counseling Centers are located in Williamson Square Shopping Center at 1113 Murfreesboro Road in Franklin.
