The Friends of the Spring Hill Library will hold its final book sale for 2016 on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Library located at 144 Kedron Parkway, Spring Hill.
A variety of reading material will be for sale, including paperback books for 50 cents each and hardback books priced at $1 each. A limited number of recently-published books will be available for $3 each. Video tapes and music CDs are 25 cents. DVDs and Audio Books with be available for $2 each.
“Some customers like to come to the sale when the doors open so they can get first choice among the many books that are available, “said Beth Cottrell, President of the Friends Group. “Others would rather wait for the special 2 p.m. sale when everyone may purchase all of the books they can put in a provided plastic bag for $1. There is a limit of four bags per person. The book sale offers a variety of books and almost everyone can locate something they will enjoy reading at the sale.”
Also available at the event will be: “Spring Hill: Everybody Has a Story,” a book that showcases the history and people of Spring Hill. The 268-page book was compiled and edited by the Friends of the Spring Hill Library.
The Library accepts donations of gently used books during library business hours. Some books are added to the library collection and others are sold at the book sales. The money raised by the book sales are used to purchase items for the library and enhance programming.
The Spring Hill Library is a community resource, offering a gathering place to meet and share ideas, while fostering a lifelong appreciation of reach and learning inside and outside on the library’s walls. The Library serves the city of Spring Hill and the surround areas of Williamson and Maury counties.
